How to select winner for a YouTube contest?
Choose a winner for a YouTube giveaway in the following steps:

  
Add YouTube video link.
  
Select YouTube giveaway settings and filters.
  
Select raffle and results settings.
  
Press Get YouTube comments.
  
Press Start to select a winner.
  
Save results and share winner.

What is YouTube Comment Picker?
YouTube Comment Picker is a simple free tool to pick a winner for YouTube giveaways, sweepstakes, promotions, contests or lotteries based on comments of a YouTube video.
Start by entering a YouTube video URL in the tool and press get comments. We will retrieve all comments from the official YouTube API. We add comment replies, extra entries, block users and filter duplicate names from comments, based on your selected settings. After retrieving all the comments you can start the winner generator and pick a random winner from all the comments by pressing the Start button.
When using this tool you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Save & share giveaway results
After a YouTube draw with our giveaway tool it's possible to save the results. You can do this by using one of the share buttons below YouTube contest details. This will create a unique result page for your giveaway with the following information:

  
Name and profile picture of contest winner.
  
Link to channel of winner.
  
Comment of winner.
  
Number of entries.
  
Draw date.
  
Link to the YouTube video.

The result page will be stored for at least 3 months and does not contain any of your private information.
YouTube contest settings & filters
You can filter comments and include or exclude users based on your contest rules. We will explain each the settings of our tool below.
Filter duplicate users
If the option "Filter duplicate users" is enabled, it means that if a user adds 2 comments on your giveaway video, it's only counted as one entry. This way you can make sure that people will not spam your contest with comments to give themselves extra changes. We filter users by a unique user ID that belongs to a YouTube user.
Include replies to comments
Replies are comments which are replied on top level comments. Those comments are done via the Reply button in YouTube. Enabling this option will include those comments as well, by default those comments would not be included.
Note: We are not able to get replies on replies.
Filter comments based on a specific text
Let's say you start a raffle where you want people to give the correct answer on a question or guess a number. This option make sure that only users with a specific text or answer are included in the entries. This could be useful if you are running a YouTube guess & win contest. If you enter multiple words, all words should be in one comment.
Add extra entries
By default, only comments are counted as entries for the contest or promotion. We can't get subscribers or people that liked your video with our tool. If you want to give people an extra change if they subscribe to your channel or liked your video, you can use the extra entries option to add their names. Those names are not connected to a user from the comments and will not be filtered.
Exclude users
If you enable this option, you can add the names of the users you want to exclude from the contest. This option is useful for excluding previous winners from winning again or blocking spam accounts. You should enter the name that is displayed in the YouTube channel or comment, e.g. Comment Picker.

How to find a YouTube video URL?
You can find and copy the link of a YouTube video via the YouTube app or via any browser in the following steps.

Open the YouTube app.
  
Navigate to the YouTube video.
  
Press Share.
  
Press Copy link.


Copy YouTube video link via a browser

  
Open YouTube in your browser.
  
Navigate to the YouTube video.
  
Copy the link from your browser address bar.


You can also press Share > Copy below the video. The YouTube video link is now copied to your clipboard. You can paste it in our tool.

We can't get comments if comments are disabled, the video is removed or if the video is set to private. You should also make sure that you entered the correct YouTube video link.
Does YouTube Comment Picker support comments from YouTube Shorts?
YouTube Comment Picker supports picking comments from YouTube Shorts, as long as the video has comments enabled and is publicly available. You can simply enter the URL of the YouTube Short video, and it will randomly select comments from the Short video for you.

Does YouTube Comment Picker supports live chat comments?
